The 2021-2022 secure browsers for Windows and Mac desktop devices are now available for download and installation on the OSAS Portal Secure Browsers page. The Secure Browsers page provides basic installation instructions. For detailed installation instructions, refer to the Configurations, Troubleshooting, and Advanced Secure Browser Installation document for each operating system on the Resources page on the OSAS Portal. Filter by resource type and select “Technology Guide.” For information about the supported operating systems for the 2021-2022 school year, please refer to the Operating System Support Plan on the OSAS Portal.
- The new 2021-2022 Mac secure browser version 14 will be used for Mac OS version 11.4 and up. Users must continue to use the 2020-2021 Mac secure browser version 12.5 for Mac OS versions 10.13-10.15.7 only.
- Support for the Windows desktop 2020-2021 secure browser will end on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. Users may continue to use the 2020-2021 Windows secure browser for secure testing until support ends on August 31, 2021.
- There are no new secure browsers for iPadOS and Chrome OS devices being issued at this time. The current iPad and Chrome OS secure browsers from 2020-21 may continue to be used for the 2021-2022 school year, or until further notice.
