  • Best Practices for ELPA Screener Temp ID to SSID Merges

Districts using Temp IDs for ELPA Screener test administration should wait until the student has completed and logged out of the test opportunity before uploading a Temp ID to SSID merge to TIDE. Uploading Temp ID to SSID merges while a student is actively taking a test may delay the processing and reporting of the student score in the Online Reporting System. If districts have any questions about an ELPA Screener test opporunity, please contact the OSAS Help Desk.

  • Cambium Learning Group Acquisition of AIR Assessment

On January 6, 2020, it was announced that Cambium Learning Group completed its acquisition of the assessment division of American Institutes for Research. The press release can be found at https://www.air.org/news/press-release/cambium-learning-group-completes-its-acquisition-assessment-division-american. AIR Assessment has joined the Cambium Learning portfolio, retaining its testing applications used in 26 states. Now called Cambium Assessment, Inc., the company anticipates no changes in staffing as part of the acquisition. State testing contracts with the Oregon Department of Education will be amended to reflect the change in ownership; however, the deliverables outlined in the contract and the terms of the contract remain unchanged. ODE will continue to work directly with the same program management team, and there will be no impact on the assessments delivered by Cambium Assessment. Furthermore, students and educators in schools and districts will continue to use the same testing applications with which they are familiar, and all URLs, e-mail addresses, user documentation, and the like will remain unchanged throughout the Spring administration. You will notice this change reflected in our communications, so we wanted you to understand the shift. We will curtail the use of "AIR" to refer to our test delivery vendor, instead referring to "Cambium" or "Cambium Assessment." Please contact Dan Farley, Director of Assessment, if you have any questions or concerns.
