Assistive Technology Support Updates

There have been updates to AIR's support for assistive technology applications since the Assistive Technology Manual was published for the 2019-2020 school year. Co:Writer is no longer supported as a Speech-to-Text application; it is still available as a Predictive Text application. Support for Co:Writer as a Speech-to-Text application was removed because Co:Writer does not offer Speech-to-Text on the desktop application. That functionality is only available on the extension, and AIR does not support any extensions within the Secure Browser. Additionally, Read&Write for Windows is now supported as a Predictive Text application, JAWS 2020 is now supported as a Screen Reader application, and ZoomText 2020 and Fusion 2020 are now supported as Screen Magnifier applications. These changes are reflected in the Assistive Technology Manual currently posted on the OSAS Portal.
