A minor change by Google to Chrome apps in the App store earlier this week has caused an issue with the Secure Browser on Chrome OS. Students may experience an “Initializing” message after opening the Secure Browser on Chromebooks, and are not able to log in. Cambium Assessment is working with Google to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. Meantime, students may continue to take Interim assessments via a web browser. For tests that must be taken in the Secure Browser (such as the ELPA Screener), students may use Windows, Mac, or iPad device, as only Chromebooks are impacted by this issue. Another announcement will be posted with instructions once this issue is resolved.
